Elopement Sample Policies and Procedures

FALA’s Elopement policy and procedure is intended to serve as a sample for assisted living facilities to comply with the regulations set forth in Chapters 59A-36.006(3)(a)(14) & 59A-36.007(5)(d), Florida Administrative Code. “Elopement” means an occurrence in which a resident leaves a facility without following facility policy and procedures., per 59A-36.002(16). This sample policy also includes a fillable elopement risk assessment guide for resident files and an example elopement drill tracker.
