Tips Senior Living Professionals Should Know About OSHA Inspection and Common Citations
Speaker: Michele Mathews, PHR, SHRM-CP, OSHA Authorized Trainer
Mathew's Consulting Services

Each year Senior Living leaders are given more and more on duties to accomplish while at work, sometimes without the correct training and tools to adequately complete those additional tasks. OSHA and Employee Safety are two of those topics that Administrators are tasked with figuring out, having no training or guidance. With the Department of Labor adding 30 additional OSHA inspectors for 2020 and the rise in OSHA fines, it is time that someone breaks down what will happen during an inspection, along with some tips and tricks to help mitigate citations as much as possible.

Prior to starting Mathews Consulting, Michele A. Mathews, was the Director of Corporate Human Resources and Corporate Risk Mitigation and Safety Compliance Officer for a mid-sized senior living organization managing and operating 10+ facilities throughout Florida. Her HR, Safety, and Risk Management duties ranged from development and construction of new buildings, facility acquisition, through all phases of facility operation. She was additionally responsible for the development of all safety procedure development, training, site reviews, data and information collection and reporting, as well as functioning as the corporate liaison with insurance providers and State, Local and Federal Agencies.
