Person Centered Way: Best Practices in Food, Nutrition and Dining Services Speaker: Maria DeNicola, MS, RD, LD/N Gordon Food Service
A best practice is any dining or food service initiative that a Caring Community has developed which improves lives or living conditions and is directed toward quality of life. A best practice fosters cooperative efforts that enhance excellence and innovation in care. A best practice may involve personal rights, provision of services or administrative practices which result in improved person-centered care. The Florida Pioneer Network awarded 3 recipients a "2020 Best Practice Showcase Award" for food, nutrition and dining services. Nominations for best practice were judged on criteria based on defined need, goals and objectives, intervention, quality outcomes, promotion of team work & collaboration and creatively using their resources.
