2020 Virtual Summit
Schedule Timeline

As we finalize our speakers and topics, we will share updates on social media and via email blasts. We have a great lineup that will fit into everyone's schedules as we have made this summit as convenient as possible. The virtual summit will be spread out over two weeks, giving everyone an opportunity to attend without being away from daily operations for too long. Additionally, attendees will have access to all of the recorded sessions on demand, just in case something comes up during the summit. Follow us on social media for updates!

What is a Track?

FALA has put together different tracks to help focus attendees' overall experience. Here is a snapshot of some tracks and topics that will be covered during the Virtual Summit.
Picture
  • Morning Clarity for Productive Days: We all know the morning sets the tone for the rest of the day! Administrators and managers can listen in on what industry professionals are adding to their morning routine to help make their days more productive.
  • Keynote: Conquering Your Kryptonite: Our keynote speakers will address different techniques and methods administrators can use to handle distressing areas in operating your business.
  • Lunch ‘n’ Learn with Law and Politics: Leading industry attorneys, FALA’s lobbyists and state legislators will discuss the upcoming elections, legislative session and regulatory and liability issues affecting ALFs.
  • Hour Focus: Let's get straight to the point! Hour Focus speakers will concentrate on best practices for dietary and dining services, as well as how to market to residents living with dementia.
  • Frontline Strengthening: Administrators oversee the day-to-day operations of assisted living facilities, but our caregivers are oftentimes the initial point of contact when a resident's health begins to decline. Our speakers will discuss methods your staff can use in identifying and reporting areas of concern with your residents.
  • Family Night: As a token of our gratitude and appreciation to our residents and their families, we are hosting a free event for family members to join the virtual summit.

On Demand

After much feedback from FALA members and other industry professionals, we have created a schedule that is spread out over a two-week period to accommodate the busy schedules of executive directors, managers and frontline staff. We recognize that a four-day, back-to-back virtual summit during this time is impractical with staff testing every two weeks and procedures changing daily. In order to make our virtual summit even more accessible, we are making each session available on demand for attendees who register for the full conference. If you get pulled away during a live session, you can still access it for up to a week after the virtual summit has ended.
