Topic: The Importance of Reporting In HFRS and the Penalties For Not Reporting

Speaker: Bernard E. Hudson, D.Min., Chief of Health Facility Regulation, Florida Agency for Health Care Administration

Bernard Hudson has worked in health and human service programs for over 20 years with a focus in data analysis, incident reporting and health care facility regulation compliance with both state and federal requirements where applicable. He served as the Emergency Coordinating Officer for the Agency and most recently as the Long-Term Care Services Unit Manager where he was responsible for the regulation of providers that offered long-term care services.

Bernard currently serves as Chief of the Bureau of Health Facility Regulation in the Division of Health Care Policy and Oversight. He has served in this role since December of 2021 and has oversight of four licensure units, the division’s rule coordination section and the Certificate of Need/Commercial Managed Care unit.
