The Foundation Scholarships

The Florida Assisted Living Education & Research Foundation (the Foundation) was formed for the purpose of developing and providing advanced education and scholarship opportunities for assisted living administrators and employees and for educating the public about assisted living. The Foundation is qualified under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

 

The Foundation will be awarding two (2) scholarships to selected FALA Facility Member (assisted living facility or adult family care home) owners or employees to attend the 2025 FALA Annual Conference & Tradeshow.  The conference will be held Monday, July 28, through Thursday, July 31, at the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.  Scholarship recipients are required to attend the full conference.  The scholarship will cover the conference registration fee ($500 value) and includes a check for $350 to offset the recipient's personal travel and hotel expenses to attend conference.  Application deadline is 11:59 p.m., June 8, 2025.  Applicants will be notified shortly after if they are selected.

2025 FALA Foundation Annual Conference Scholarship

Application is open to ALL owners and employees of active FALA Facility Members who would like to attend the FALA Annual Conference & Tradeshow but may not have the funding to do so.

[FALA Foundation Board members, FALA Board members, FALA staff, and/or their family members are not eligible for this scholarship.]

Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on June 8, 2025.

The Florida Assisted Living Association (FALA) Annual Conference & Tradeshow will be held Monday, July 28 through Thursday, July 31 at the the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.  Scholarship recipients must be an owner or employee of a FALA Facility Member (Assisted Living Facility or Adult Family Care Home) and are required to attend the full conference.  Two scholarships will be awarded to cover the conference registration fee ($500 value) and includes a check for $350 to offset the recipient's personal expenses for hotel and travel to attend conference. The conference hotel room rate is $209 per night, plus a $10 resort fee, and a $20 daily self-parking. Applicants must be reasonably certain they will be allowed time off from their job to attend the conference.

Recipients may receive no more than one FALA Foundation Scholarship per calendar year.

FALA Education & Research Foundation Academic Scholarship for Excellence in Senior Care

The Florida Assisted Living Association Foundation (FALA Foundation) is dedicated to advancing our mission of supporting excellence in senior care.  Through this scholarship program, we aim to invest in the education and development of individuals who embody the attributes essential to our mission. 

The FALA Foundation awards multiple $1,000 scholarships annually to employees of FALA Facility Members who are enrolled in accredited college or university degree programs.  These scholarships are designed to support fields crucial to senior care, such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, gerontology, nutrition/dietary, or clinical social work. Additionally, we may consider other aging or health-related fields,  however, preference will be given to those degree programs first listed.

Recipients of the FALA Foundation scholarship represent the values and dedication to excellence that are central to our mission.  They are individuals committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and contributing to the advancement of senior care practices.  As such, recipients of this scholarship play a vital role in furthering our mission and embodying the attributes we hold dear.

Recipients may receive no more than one FALA Foundation scholarship per calendar year.
